CHW Part of 2016 Statewide Preservation Conference

May 7, 2016 CHW sponsored and participated in the 2016 Statewide Preservation Conference, which took place May 5-7th in Troy and Albany, New York. CHW Partner, Steve Weiss, provided detailed information about how the finances for a historic credit deal work, as well as information about other incentive programs that work with the historic tax credits in a conference session titled Historic Tax Credits for Commercial Properties. Other speakers at the session were Julian Adams, Director, Community Preservation Services Bureau, NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation and Jeffrey Mirel, Executive Vice President, The Rosenblum Companies. The Preservation Conference celebrates past achievements and also plans for the future of historic preservation in New York State. The Landmark Society of Western New York presented the conference, in collaboration with the Historic Albany Foundation; the Preservation League of New York State; and the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. April 1, 2016 Cannon Heyman & Weiss is proudly celebrating 15 years of service to their clients and local communities. It’s been a decade and a half since Geoffrey Cannon, Steven Heyman, and Steven Weiss — friendly competitors with complementary legal backgrounds and a shared vision — formed Cannon Heyman & Weiss, LLP.
