Cannon Heyman & Weiss will co-sponsor the Joint Ventures that Work for Supportive Housing – Upstate event on Thursday, April 27th at the NYS Homes & Community Renewal Office in Albany, NY.
The event will feature a discussion on successful ways for non-profits and for profits to partner in developing permanent supportive housing.
Michael Greco, who is a partner at Cannon Heyman & Weiss, will serve on a discussion panel, along with Dominick Buffa, First Sterling; Sue McCann, The Community Builders; Mike Newman, CSD Housing; and John Warren, Central New York Services. Maygen Moore, Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH), will serve as the panel moderator. CSH is co-sponsoring the event with CHW.
Panelists will provide an overview of the available funding sources, real time examples and discuss the pros and cons of the following partnership structures:
- 100% Non-profit Development;
- Turn-key Development; and
- Joint Ventures with Majority Non-profit Control (51%).
