2017 Scholarship Fund Winners Announced

Cannon Heyman & Weiss, LLP (CHW) has announced the winners of its fifth annual CHW Scholarship Fund. The 1st place award of $10,000 went to Mohammed Zahirul Islam of Staten Island, NY, the 2nd place award of $7,500 went to Jahnaee Harris of Manhasset, NY, and the 3rd place award of $5,000 went to Ava Bryan of Brooklyn, NY.

The CHW Scholarship Fund, created in 2013, is an extension of the CHW mission and is reflective of its commitment to the affordable housing industry and community development. Congratulations to the winners who shared their inspiring stories. The Scholarship Fund, which is entirely underwritten by CHW, awards scholarships to students seeking full- and part-time undergraduate study at approved colleges, junior colleges, technical schools and other post-secondary institutions leading to a degree, diploma, or certificate.

CHW also named three winners of honorable mention awards in the amount of $250 each. Those winners were: Sandra Rosado of Ithaca, NY, Diamond Small of Astoria, NY, and Willie Bell of Brooklyn, NY.
