CHW Participates at 6th Annual Upstate NY Affordable Housing Conference

The 6th Annual Upstate New York Affordable Housing Conference was held September 15, 2009 at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, New York. CHW was one of several sponsors of the conference that brings together housing professionals for an educational program covering a broad range of topics in affordable housing policy, community development and construction.

Steven Weiss, Managing Partner, moderated a session on Upstate Housing Preservation and Community Redevelopment.  This session exhibited three case studies in the Upstate New York region and discussed how each achieved trendsetting goals in green building, energy efficiency, cultivating resources, community redevelopment and weatherization. Following the conference a cocktail reception, sponsored by CHW and Salmin, Celona, Wehrle & Flaherty, LLP, was held in the gallery’s Sculpture Garden.
