CHW Sponsors Upstate NYSAFAH Conference

The New York State Association For Affordable Housing (NYSAFAH) held its Upstate Conference on September 27, 2018 at the Albany Capital Center in Albany, NY. Attorneys from CHW’s Albany and Buffalo offices attended the event. CHW was a premier sponsor for the event, co-hosting the pre-conference reception with Rochester-based company Flaherty Salmin CPAs.

CHW Partner, Stephen Yonaty served as a moderator for the Trends in Design and Construction session, a discussion on trends in building (such as modular, ICF and Passive House) as well as engineering and design trends regarding unit size and mix, and sustainability.

This event marks NYSAFAH’s 15th annual conference in the Upstate New York region. The conference brings together affordable housing experts in the public, private and nonprofit sectors to discuss innovative solutions to building new and better neighborhoods in New York State. This year’s focus was on creating housing programs that ensure every New Yorker has a decent and safe home.
