Second Annual Upstate Affordable Housing Conference a Success

The Second Annual Upstate Affordable Housing Conference took place on Thursday, September 22nd at the Hyatt Regency Buffalo with a cocktail reception, sponsored by CHW and Nixon Peabody, LLP, concluding the event.

The conference featured a variety of affordable housing topics, including a panel of industry members discussing financing for the revitalization of state public housing projects. The panel included CHW partner Steven J. Weiss, the conference co-chair; Brian Lawlor, managing attorney for the New York State Department of Housing and also a conference co-chair; Bob Spangler, managing director of the Royal Bank of Canada; and John Oster, president of Edgemere Development.

More than 200 people from across New York State attended.

This year’s event was sponsored by the New York State Bar Association, the New York State Association for Affordable Housing (NYSAFAH), and the Affordable Housing Clinic of University at Buffalo School of Law.
