Steven Weiss Appointed to Co-Chair Statewide Bar Association Committee
Buffalo, NY: CHW partner Steven J. Weiss has been appointed to Co-Chair the Low Income & Affordable Housing Committee, a subcommittee of the New York State Bar Association Real Estate Committee. The primary responsibilities of this position include coordinating the legal issues surrounding affordable housing for attorneys throughout New York State, and managing many of the tasks associated with the annual Upstate Affordable Housing Conference. The conference is planned for September 25, 2007, at the Albright Knox Art Gallery. “I am very excited to share my knowledge and experience in the area of legal policy regarding affordable housing with my attorney colleagues throughout the State of New York,” said Weiss.
Weiss concentrates his practice in the areas of affordable housing and community development transactions, including the syndication of various tax credits and other tax incentives. He completed his education at the State University of New York at Buffalo, receiving a B.S. in Management in 1987, an M.B.A. in 1988, and a J.D. in 1991. He is a lifelong resident of Williamsville, NY, and serves on the boards of several local non-profits.
