What’s on your bucket list?
Japan is definitely at the top of my bucket list. I'd love to go during ski season since apparently the northern regions such as Hokkaido get some of the best fresh powder in the world. I'm just as excited to try the food there as I am the skiing. I love sushi, and it'd be amazing to try it fresh in Japan.
What is or are your guilty pleasure(s)?
My guilty pleasure is definitely soft-serve ice cream. I'm especially grateful for how many local ice cream shops and dairy farms we have in upstate New York. You can find a good cone almost anywhere. It's hard to resist stopping for one, especially in the warm summer months.
What was your most memorable job or work experience?
My most memorable work experience was being a part of the team that helped launch the Legacy Cities Access Program, an initiative aimed at revitalizing abandoned 'zombie properties' across New York State and expanding homeownership. I worked closely with governments, lenders, and community groups to negotiate solutions that brought a variety of stakeholders together. The experience was especially meaningful because I believe everyone deserves a safe, affordable place to live, and that homeownership is one of the strongest ways to improve families' lives and strengthen communities.
“Something else I think you should know about me.”
I'm a huge New York Mets fan, and following them has shaped the way I approach life and work. Being a fan has taught me patience, the importance of staying hopeful, and how to keep pushing forward even when the odds don't look great. It reminds me that big wins come through persistence and resilience, even in the face of adversity.
