The CHW Scholarship Fund was created in 2013 as an extension of the CHW mission and is reflective of our commitment to the affordable housing industry and community development.

Through the 2025 cycle, CHW has awarded more than $277,000 in scholarships to qualified students. The Scholarship Fund is entirely underwritten by CHW and we are neither soliciting nor accepting outside financial support.

A Custom-Built Laptop For Students Living in Affordable Housing

The 2026 Cannon Heyman & Weiss Scholarship Fund will award custom-built laptops for students at approved colleges, junior colleges, technical schools, and other post-secondary educational institutions leading to a degree, diploma or certificate.
*Graduate students are not eligible.

This year’s awards will provide 10 students with custom-designed laptops built for their specific educational needs.

*Technology Scholarship not to exceed $2,500 per award.
